Shmup decals and stuff

Post by Etrian »

I'm looking to mod my HRAP1, the silver part is really prone to scratching (although mine hasn't much because it's brand new) and it's a finger print magnet. I'm looking for some skins or decals which I could use to cover it with, or maybe a proper replacement.

I'm not sure how to go about replacing the current silverness as it's bolted down with these things which seem to be unmovable. So, does anyone have any? I'll gladly buy them too.

I want the shiny version, I only have the 1.5 flat version... anyway, to get the top panel off unscrew the base, then remove the bolts from underneath. You'll probably need a fine pair of pliers to loosen them, or a long shaft socket driver.

On the newer versions the top layer is stuck onto a steel panel, not sure how it's attached on yours.

Usually for art on custom sticks people just get a nice quality printout and put it underneath a thin sheet of lexan or plexiglass. I can't think of any reason why you couldn't do the same on that stick.

Where can I get them from? Can't make them myself.

Well I know you can get the plastic stuff at hardware stores. it's supposed to be tough to cut though, I've never done it myself so I don't have any advice. As for the printouts somewhere like kinkos should be just fine. I'm not sure about where to look for an image though, I guess goggle would be a good place to start, people on here probably have some nice hi-res images also.

1mm Plexiglas is actually extremely easy to cut with a common fretsaw. You just need some polishing paste afterwards to get the edges shiny again.

I would really rather prefer someone did it for me.
