The 5 second rule does not apply!

My understanding of the situation from other news sources. Radio, Newspaper, interviews etc...

An 18 yr old college girl agreed to having sex with a 15 yr old high school boy in the back seat of a car.

The girl changed her mind during intercourse & told the boy to stop.

He indeed did stop in what the girl claimed to be maybe 5 to 10 seconds.

The 15 yr old boy was sentenced to 15 years for 1st degree rape because he did not stop immediately.

There is a retrial ( this will make the 3rd ) in the works.

So what about it. How many seconds is too many seconds once the girl says no more?
Obviously in Maryland 5 seconds is too long.
What about 2 seconds?

Any opinions?

It kind of reminds me of a case I heard about at Michigan State University where two students got drunk and high together, and despite the fact that she remembered nothing else of the night, the female apparently distinctly remembered telling the guy she didn't want to have sex, but they ended up sleeping together anyway. Well she claimed rape and the case got pretty interesting until eyewitnesses reported seeing them together in a platonic nature in the days before and after the "rape" and due to some other evidence the judge told the chick to in a not-so-polite way to SFTU and the case was dropped.

A normal guy at 18 fucks a normal 15 year old girl = People shout "RAPE! CHILD MOLESTER! PUT HIM AWAY FOR LIFE!", while girl is seen as/acts-like-a victim.

A normal girl at 18 gets a normal 15 year old boy to fuck her = Courts decide "Well, they're pretty close in age, so it's no biggie", while boy is not seen as a victim... but as a rapist.
