back from japan

Post by greg »

yay, i'm back from japan and have to return to work tomorrow. (oh wait, that's nothing to get excited over). Still recovering from my tendonitis, so i won't type much. i wanted to check up on the forum while using my mom-in-law's computer, but couldn't. she had this brilliant anti-virus software called virus buster or something which filters out web pages that might contain viruses (like say, for example, THE ENTIRE FREAKING INTERNET). so, i couldn't visit here.

i must've spent most of my money on my passion for Rilakkuma. Got some Panda Z stuff, misc cardcaptor sakura stuff, and as far as games go, i got Nazo Puyo for Super Famicom (some Puyo Puyo spinoff... it had a picture of curry rice on the front, and thought it was too weird to pass up for only 500 yen), Bishoujou Janken Suuchii-Pai for the SFC (a mahjong game with chara designs by Kenichi Sonada, the man behind the original Bubblegum Crisis, Riding Bean, Gunsmith Cats, and Gal Force--I love his work), and I got Game Tengoku 2 for the Playstation as well. I'll have to wait for my wrist condition to clear up before i play more. and speaking of which, i ought to just cut this message short here. I'll schedule myself for some physical therapy sometime soon.

Welcome back greg, sorry to hear your hands are still bothering you.

Disregard the pm I sent, Gaijinpunch was kind enough to translate the article :)

Interesting site you've got here...I always knew you weren't quite right in the head ;)

What part of the country were you in? Obviously enjoying Golden Week, when the rest of Japan came to Hawaii... and yes, I can verify this.

I was in Tokyo for less than 24 hours when we first flew in from Narita. Just long enough to hit the Broadway Building in Nakano, and the Kiddy Land store and the Snoopy store in Harajuku. I didn't have time to meet up with any friends while I was there. The rest of the time we were in Nagano-ken visiting the in-laws.

When we flew back to the USA, we had a 6 hour layover at the San Francisco airport. Good thing that the BART station is connected to the terminal, so we were able to catch a subway to downtown SF and saw the sights there. I've never been to SF before, and it was great. It had just rained, so it was a bit chilly. I liked that. I'd like to visit SF a bit more again sometime. Visiting SF was particularly meaningful to me since I watched a lot of Herbie the Love Bug movies when I was a kid.

Neon, if you like that, check out this. It's my latest insanity.

Good to see the connection works. There were so much political mumbo jumbo when they were building it, delays, etc... The homeless issue is raging here, did it bother you?

After using the transportation systems in Japan, it sure as hell puts anything here to shame.

Awwww...why can't I ever find the right girl?

Am I to understand that they successfully combined Puyo Puyo and curried rice? I'm going to need details.

And my lord, how do those bastards at Sanrio do it? It's like they sold their souls to the devil to be able to simply exude pure cuteness. I mean, christ, Rilakkuma is amazing! And I finally know where the hell that insomniac panda comes from.

PS - Your site is hilarious.

PPS - What exactly is JET?
