Any Hori Anashin 2 Wireless owners in here?

Post by BazookaBen »

Hey guys, my Anashin 2 just arrived from Hong Kong and I think it's broke, but I hope I'm wrong. The receiver is flashing but none of the lights on the actual controller are lighting up. The only response I've gotten from the controller is when I put some brand new AA's in it, it started rumbling like crazy. It's done nothing else since. Any suggestions?

I had a Sega SurfWave PS2 pad that went crazy with no user response just rumbled constantly

until I changed the batteries and then it did nothing. Dead.

Luckily it was still under warrenty so I got it replaced.

It sounds broken. Actually no, broken would be the wrong temr here. It's faulty. I've had mine for about a year and a half, and it starts working after a few button presses.

Although this isn't really ideal for shooters, it's an excellent pad for other PS2 games. Mine is an older model though.

I really like the SurfWave, it as a nice rumble and the batteries last a good while.

Buttons and sticks feel right. No problems using D pad.

The SurfWave receiver lights up blue when powered.

I tried talking to Hori USA about it, but the anashin2 is made exclusively in japan, so they couldn't do anything for me. If I do an exchange with the ebay seller, I'll have to pay return shipping, which will be another $20. Do any of you know if Hori Japan has a warranty policy or anything like that?
