So, after you punching, kicking and shooting rockets in the face of Nintendo characters, players can´t face the possibility that they are NOT the best players of all? Maybe they should get rid of the term "You lost" too, since that´s too cruel. How about "Second winner"? Did they not include leaderboards because of the sensible american children or what? RETARDED. In competetive gaming, tears must flow, or nothing will be gained.

Next on the Wii: "I am okay, you are okay - The Game".

Sakurai would've felt bad if he plagiarized the TF2 leaderboard system, because he would've seen how much more original Valve was.

Just to end this discussion, he did also feel that balancing characters in the game had more to do with their moveset than their metagame, hence the lack of wave-cancel. And I don't think the leaderboard had anyrthing to do with America or whatnot (more to do with Japan, actually), but it makes sense since one can only cap so high in Smash brefore they've discovered a glitch to make the game broken. Insert Smashboards, tourneytards, banning, no item, Fox only, Final Destination, etc...

In aother words, its another can of worms altogether, one which Sakurai pursonally supervised. It just happens that Smash is a property owned by Nintendo. And if HAL themselves did it (without supervisions from Sakurai), they might've probably listened to those people in the Smashboards hoping to make the franchise as tournament legal as Street Fighter.

Anyways, Blast Works is developed by Budcat. I don't get the whole thing about console biases, unless it was ports we were talking about...

Edit: Oh right. "Fattened up version of Kenta Cho's, with stage builder. Only problem is it's on Wii." How is that a problem? "Friends codes"? Nope, I know a dozen or so other games that let you do a whole lot without it (Elebits included). Score board? Who says Blast Works won't have one? This isn't Sakurai's game and there are other titles (Geom Wars Galaxies) that have leaderboards. You're thinking as if this whole WiFi thing is completely unified so if one says no, it means all don't have the feature...

I personally don't think Nintendo's WiFi policies have anything to do with the stupidity of their other games. But that's another story, for another board. If you're still just going to be an ass just because it's on a Nintendo console, fine, don't get it. Just don't blame them for having it on their console.

Edit 2: Mods, if this discussion gets anymore out of hand, feel free to lock. There was an earlier post of Blast Works somewhere here. Just revive that one.

Does anybody have this game yet?

I hear it doesn't use friend codes.
