It's Progear, Cave's only horizontal shmup.

No home port exists, but it's playable in MAME.

Personally I think it's okay, but I don't like it as much as most of Cave's other stuff.

Wow, looks like it was lots of fun. I'm assuming a lot of the people in that video aren't members here. Either that, or there are a lot more Austrian members than I'm aware of.

Minor gripe: too much people, not enough Cave.

Hi folks !

First i want to say thanks to DEF for the splendid video (great work man).

Someone wanted to know if there are other meetings planned.

Yes indeed.
Believe it or not.
The next shmup weeting will be held on 28. May 2005 (maybe a week later).

This time the "Eitle" gaminghall will be hosting 4 additional SEGA BLAST CITY CABS !
Thanks to Daniel for stocking up the cabinets.

The game titles for the tournament:

1) Thunderforce AC

2) Gallop-Armed Police Unit

3) Boogie Wings – The Great Ragtime Show

4) Nostradamus

5) R Type 2

6) Rezon

7 ) XeXeX

8) Gunbird

9) Raiden Fighters 2

10) Mushihime Sama

11) DoDonpachi 3

12) Batrider

13) Mars Matrix

14) Ketsui

This time we will play some rare exotic games (all of them are original pcbs, not bootlegs or emustuff).

Maybe we will have Ibara on one of our next tournaments.
8)

So stay tuned.

Greetings
RFK

Hi !

The capital city of austria (vienna) is also the headquarter of shmupping.
:D

The "Eitle" gaminghall is nearby Vienna (60 km).

Thank you all for your great response. I really worked hard to get things right ( extremely dark - for cameras - in the gameing hall for example ) but with a few tricks this wasnt an issue anymore.

It was such a cool event, and even the girls had fun, really :) The best proof is that every girl was far form being the last one :)
The only one how was bored, was the dog, as u can see in my vid :)

Of course the next vid is following, and this time it wont take too long, Ill promise :)

stay tuned, and thx again for your response!

What.

A home-port exists, it was brought to American arcades.

If you're looking for any similarity, Progear is a bit like Ketsui, but when I say that, it's like 10% in similarity.
Approach your target and attack! Your mission starts now! ARE YOU READY!?

You're right, it is level 2...got it confused with the one from that weird second section of the DVD.

If anyone knows the name of that song, let me know

He was talking about a port (like Mushi's getting ported to PS2), not localization.

This is so beautifull. A dream comes true. I wish I was still living in europe; I would have come right up there. I'll be in europe next month; too late to join your next contest.

And DOJ's your favorite shooting game? What.

Was that the remixed version of stage 2, because I don't remember it being that upbeat. I think that was my favorite track from the game.

I haven't been able to play it in like a farking month with concentrating on strikers 2 + finals, moving out, etc. I've even forgotten how the songs go

I actually have the soundtrack but the song on part 2 of the replay doesn't seem to be on it...was wondering what the name of that was
