China Vortex, any success getting it to run?

Has anyone been able to run the demo of the PC game called China Vortex. I downloaded it from the official webpage but I get unreadable errors when I run it. Here's a video of this impressive shmup:

I suspect all the problems stem from the fact you must choose Japanese as a regional setting. Do you have a full version of windows XP?

Certain Hacked versions of XP do not seem to be able to region change but i'm not sure why. You could try running the Win XP locale app.

I have problems with this game also, and have tried both Japanese region settings and applocale. This one's just a problem child.....

this game requires you to switch the whole system over to japanese region....not just the non-unicode part...

obviously you must have all japanese fonts installed....perhaps even korean fonts....couldnt hurt

kinda strange considering its a korean game

works fine for me....

the first game in the series, mechanized samuraizm, is even worse....it has a bad habit of crashing and locking up your computer on occasion....

china vortex should run fine tho if you configure the system language settings properly

well, i hav the full version of this game, and just allowin my system to run in full japanese mode made the game work w/o problems...
