Sagaia for GameBoy

I recently had the opportunity to play the Gameboy version of Sagaia at a friend's place. It struck me as a very good version of Darius. What do people here think of it as compared to the other Darii around the same time, and does anyone know in what other territories besides Japan this was released?

...is the plural of Gradius "Gradii"? I'm not even sure how to pronounce that.

I own that cart. To my knowledge it was only ever released in Japan. It placed quite high in my Game Boy shmups thread.

Definitely a cool portable release. I haven't spent on it much time as I wanted though.
