Hello every one, I just recently found the ShMups site and that took me to this forum.
For a very long time now I have been looking for two games I played back in 1985-86. Both were on an arcade machines but I cannot be sure if there were not just consoles in cabinets.
The first one is a vertical walking shmup. It features a little cave man. At the begining he only fires small white slow moving orbs but eventualy he upgrades and becomes bigger and gets to shoot clones of himself very very fast.
I cannot remember a lot about it but I know you can also jump over chasms and at the end of each level you would go into a cave and fight a dinasaur.
I remember the tittle screen was in japanese but that's all.
The second one is kind of a side scroler so I'm not sure if it's exacly a Shmup. It features Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse and they both can fire white oval shots.
You can control both characters at the same time. I remember the first level was inside a wood house with many diferent roms. I remember some times you could shoot something invisible on the walls and a crow would come out and take Minnie away. I also remember level two was in a forest with big flowers and trees.
I would really apreciate any leads on to any of these two games ^_^;
Looking for elusive Shmups, since 1985...

The second one sounds like Mickey Mousecapades on the NES. I wouldn't call it a shmup though.

mmhhh.. it looks lot like the one I remember, this is on NES though,
maybe this is a port from an arcade?... or maybe I'm just too old and cannot remember any more...
no wait, on second thought I think this may have been it, is amazing how games used to look so amazing when I was little compared to what I would picture now. Thanks a million guys, you made my day! ^_^;
