I own two different Superguns including a Matt Ross Special. Owning such a Matt Ross produced one is one cool Supergun. Unfortunately, he is retired from the Supergun manufacturing business. Very solid Supergun setup, indeed, and even has a pair of speakers already installed inside for ease of use to listen to the arcade PCB's sound EFX and BGM tunes as well. I use a modded DC Agetech Arcade Stick with 6-button layout that has been replaced with Seimitsu arcade parts for both the joystick and push buttons... ^_~

You won't be disappointed with a Matt Ross Supergun -- just post a Wanted To Buy post in the Trading Section of Shmups.org and see what happens. Good Luck... ^_~

I use either an 14" Commodore Amiga 1080 analog RGB monitor or a 9" Sony CPD-9000 RGB monitor for true low-resolution purposes (320 x 240). Playing those cool Neo-Geo arcade MVS carts on the 9" Sony RGB monitor comes in super razor sharp and crystal clear. Some folks would say those monitor sizes are too small but they do work like a charm! I also use an Microcom produced XRGB-2 upscan convertor with Japanese RGB cable being piped out from said Supergun for use with CRT-based PC monitor is another viable alternative to play such arcade PCBs on if you don't have access to an analog RGB monitor in the first place...

Some fellow shmuppers can make such a Supergun for you if you PM them:

SegaSonicFan is one of them...

if you wanna check one out in action you should come over to my place next time i hold a meet.....

and AFAIK kingbuzzo...who is in vancouver...is starting to make them so maybe PM him....would save on shipping and customs fees....

and most superguns are setup for neo geo inputs for controllers so you can just use whatever you are using with your AES

Awesome ! Theres some arcade shmups I have to get that arent on consoles such as :

- Aero Fighters
- 1941 Counter Attack

If I do get a supergun, I might just sell my consoles and just get the PCB games.

Jonny, you have a pic of your supergun ? how is it ?

Wow! I've never heard of such a thing! And only a few hundred were made? I doubt anyone here has a supergun since we are such a small community.

Though seriously, I am pretty impressed that thing was shown on a TV show. I don't have sound on this computer so I will watch more than the first 20 seconds this week-end.

Wow. I am turning pretty asshole-ish too. Maybe I am next in line for ze ban.

i have the pistol model.....about the size of a VHS tape.....

works great and is MVS compatible out of the box....

if you do decide to buy one you should just post a WTB thread in the trading forum....lots of people have em and you should be able to get one for a couple hundred bux
