I've always considered BMB to be a shmup. I've also heard everyone else do the same. It's not entirely a run and gun, that's for sure.

Bangai-O is not considered a shmup in this forum. You'll notice our thread on the DS game is located in the Off Topic section as well. So, I'm moving this one.
