Play-Asia never offers Japan Only pre-order items, plus this thing looks rare I looked it up on YJA and no one was offering it.professor ganson wrote:Very interesting. That sure wasn't an option at Play-Asia!Lawfer wrote:Was ist das?

That's incredible. I bought a 60gb PS3 from Hong kong last year, got it back to the UK, and within a month the drive packed up for good and stopped reading discs. I phoned them and they refused to offer a replacement as my warranty was 'no good' in Europe. I was furious.Strider77 wrote:that's exactly what they did for my friend shayla.Also- do we have a definitive "if a JP console breaks in the US- it gets replaced with a JP console"?
So furious I borrowed someone's PS3 receipt for GAME, walked in with it and exchanged it for a brand new UK PS3 instead.
Then I sold the PS3 immediately for a tidy profit and never looked back. Fuck that console, it's wack.

It's important that you make a distinction between Raiden and Raiden Fighters, they are two totally different beasts.doodude wrote:So Im curious, is this typical of the series?
As for the answer to your question, well, yeah, it's pretty similar to Raiden 1 (and maybe 2?), but DX is the best of the bunch, i'd say, and R3 can't really compare. Much cooler scoring system in DX.

That's all it is, a modded controller. To be slightly more specific, a third-party Madcatz controller. From what I've read online, most examples of the official (Microsoft) controller don't have an obvious common earth point (unlike the Madcatz), making the mod/hack more difficult.Lawfer wrote:Ok, what exactly it is? Beside a modded controller that is.
I use an ATX power connector (20 pins) for attaching different hacked controllers to my cab control panel.
Don't bomb. DON'T BOMB.
Damn! Should have bombed.

I've had that happen before, and I was wondering if it would happen again. Sometimes the date they tell you it was sent isn't quite the day it goes out. I'm still waiting both for RFA and for the game I bought during the Easter sale.E. Randy Dupre wrote:Is anybody else still waiting for their P-A order to arrive? Just had something turn up that I ordered from them a few days after RFA, but RFA itself is nowhere to be seen. Gutted. Want.
EDIT: Yep, the 20% off game that was allegedly sent later arrived earlier. Still no RFA.

i'll take some pics for you tomorrow. i had akuma001 from the srk forums do the mod for me; only reason being the desoldering work needed to get the stock buttons off the pcb they are directly soldered to is kind of a pain if you have never desoldered before (i hadn't at that point). but looking at the finished product, you'll see that it really isn't that hard to mod.
Mine has already arrived, but it was sent before Easter. I'm still waiting for my Easter stuff.E. Randy Dupre wrote:Is anybody else still waiting for their P-A order to arrive? Lol nice, yeah I am asking around shyroyuken for the parts I need before getting myself a custom made stick for this summer (Ketsui X, Omega Five, Raiden Fighters Aces, Ikaruga etc...)brokenhalo wrote:the hori ex2 is a great shell. the stock parts aint so hot, but it's fairly easy to mod it with sanwa parts. here's a pic of mine.

At first I was just going to get myself a padhack of some out of the box stick, but after reading some posts on various forums I would rather have a custom made one. But now looking at this makes me think if I should not just go for the same option as you did (get a EX2 and just change the joystick, buttons and design. Unless it is not easy to mod with non-sanwa parts?).
There is alot of choice in this:

Which one do you think I should go for?
It's called padhacking, more info there if you plan on doing it yourself:seiatsu wrote:Now, if someone can tell me how to mod mine to work on the 360 (and still work on PS3 as well), I'll be set.

But I read somewhere that those have a problem as they tend to not respond correctly, especially the earlier versions, more info on this anyone?
