Beautiful Bullet Hell Screenshots

Post by heavymetalme »

I was wondering if anyone had any beautiful bullet hell screenshots from any game that would make for a good painting? Unfortunately, my skills are limited, so I don't anticipate getting any taken of my own gameplay anytime soon, but if someone else had one saved, I'd love to snag it. Let me know!

That's nice, but I was hoping for something a bit more ridiculous bullet wise. Like, huge, circular swarms.

YES! Just like that! My only further request would be something a bit larger and more detailed.

Just play some Touhou games. On Lunatic. Even stage 1 boss can show to you some cool stuff.

By far the king of spirograph-crazy, cool looking patterns is Touhou. Shoot the Bullet is pretty much built around it.

As for shot patterns that might not look great but are definitely designed to kill you .. Dodonpachi DOJ :P

Touhou's are very slow, so they aren't the most fun to dodge, but they are the nicest to look at. I have a random STB avatar. Sorry they're too small and designed to be avatars, not pictures. This page shows all of them:

You aren't really dodging them as much as you are .. floating around inside them. Like a giant sea of bullets. :P

I have a collection of somewhat neat StB "photos". It hasn't been updated for like half a year, though. But it's definitely the game to look for pretty patterns (and many of them are also fast and challenging).

Now that were going down this path of bullet patterns etc I think it would be great if these screen shots were large enough & clear enough ( lacking time stamps etc ) to be used as desktop wall papers.

I normally just use scenic vistas & I never use a wallpaper manager but with enough great Shmup wallpapers of bullet hell from different games I think I would.

OP..check out rRootage. It's free and has it' own screen cap thingy built in. With 4 game types at 40 levels each, there are many nice patterns / screen caps to be had.

The games author even provides the tools to make your own patterns if you are so inclined.

Check out Noiz2sa. There is a Mac version available and it is definitely bullet mania. Lots of chaotic spam mixed with ring-like patterns.

That looks nice, although I wouldn't want to navigate it.

I think that's the Mushi TLB final pattern, could be wrong though. It looks awful similar if it's not.

It is Mushi TLB pattern, recreated in YGS2000.
