Cloak & Dagger - MAWS

i loved this movie as a kid, and i always wanted to play the game they have featured in the movie. But i could never find a reference to the game on the internet. Apparently, because i didn't think it could be an arcade game.

i'm so excited i finally get to play it. i don't care if it might suck, and also that i don't have a two stick setup to play with. :D

anyone have any semi-extensive experience with the game? is it generally worth the time investment?

thanks for any help or information

regards
capt

Ah yes, I do recall the very first time seeing/playing the upright cabinet of Cloak & Dagger at my local 7-11 back in the early 1980's -- interesting concept with the twin joystick setup (borrowed from the classic 1982 Williams' Robotron 2084 arcade game setup) and a lot of action going on at the same time.

An Atari Game produced Cloak & Dagger arcade upright has made it's appearance at the once-a-year California Extreme shows a few times in the past. It's great to give it a spin for ol' times sake -- awesome game in it's own right... ^_~

There had been a few close calls trying to reach the elevator just in the nick of time as the bomb goes off and seeing the animation of your spy guy character shaking his head in dismay while his clothes are a bit singed/smoked -- priceless! ^_~

FYI: The Atari 5200 console version of Cloak & Dagger game cartridge featured in the film was never released in the USA...

I'm a huge fan of this game (hence my screen name). I'm currently searching for the pcb so I can play it at home. The pcb's aren't nearly as hard to come by as you might think.
The game has some programing issues, namely the conveyor belts which make your character act very twitchy when on them, making some of the precision moves later in the game (floors 20-31) pretty hard to pull off. Instead of rushing to get to the other elevator, you need to set up the board to make sure you have a wide path, then charge through.
I also got into the game from the movie and just watched it a few weeks ago. Still pretty good.
