suspicious about the music to be honest, doesnt sound like GBA audio at all..

that aside, hatsune miku homebrew shooter = WIN

shame it was filmed with glare on the srceen

I doubt it's suspicious. The audio quality is much better considering its coming off DS speakers and not the tinny GBA ones.

Makes me wonder who Tose can't do better with the ports of FFAdvance.

That said, I see no problem with the hitbox. It's just Mikuru, isn't it?

Yes to both. I loved Phalanx because of it's simpleness.

There is also Iridion II, which is quite good (the first one is into-the-screen)

it was more of the amount of samples being played at once...

Tose used several tricks to fake multisampled instrumentation too. They'd combine two or more samples into one, but in this case it's not so obvious.
