Geometry Wars - retro evolved PC

Not as good as Grid Wars (no tactics, just 'shoot nearest enemy') but still fun.

Gradius Gaiden! I don't know why I've put off playing this for so long. Along with R-Type Delta and G. Darius, the PS1 was good to the classic horis.

ibara....and its kicking my ass....lolz

this is a tricky game....the scoring system is not at all what im used to.....and ive never really put too much time in on a game with a ranking system like this...other than occasional batrider and garrega on MAME

its got a bit easier after i read the strategy guide thread....."so thats how you use the hadou gun!!"

"bombing is...... good!!??!!"

"dont take the heavy weapons????"

my normal approach of kill everything and grab everything didnt work out so well when i first tried this....

lolz

i will beat it....prolly not any time soon tho

im kinda liking how hard it is tho.....its been a while since ive been beat down by a game like this....

I've been on a Mars Matrix kick lately. I just started to really get into that game and its pretty hard (to me) playing for score. Thinking about buying a PCB for it maybe. Aside from that I've been playing Dangun Feveron periodically.

Salamander Portables... mostly MSX Gradius 2 which is a really charming version of it!

Yeah, I 1cc'd Gradius V since last time I posted. :D

Salamander! I played the hell out if it yesterday and finally one-lifed it to the final stage, but got nailed in its second half and couldn't recover. Lost the last life trying to shoot the supports for Zelos Force and crashing into the wall. :?

I think I'm going to settle on Gunbird 2. I'd really like to get to level 6. We'll see how that goes.

With my post, it'll be three people playing Ibara on a single day, lol.

First time I played Ibara, about a year ago, I totally DESPISED it... but now I decided to give it another chance and I'm having a pretty good time with it, even though it's still my least favorite Cave game by far. Great boss battles, great soundtrack and a nice difficulty - it's neither frustratingly hard nor annoyingly easy.

Unfortunately, I'm still not used to dying from bullets I can't see, dodging debris that look like bullets (lol) or avoiding powerups because they look like enemies >_>

I finally started learning how to play Guwange. Ugh, hard. Still trying to improve my Dragon Blaze score (and failing)as well as my Gunbird 2 score (and barely succeeding - managed to get to stage 5 for the first time, though).

Hey, me too!

Also with some slight play of:
X-Multiply, Gradius 2, Kyukyoku Tiger 2 Plus, Zero Gunner 2, Galactic Attack and a little Bangai-O.

Just cleared the 1st loop of Dodonpachi (didn't make it to the 2nd loop though).

Next project: In the Hunt

PS: Is there a way to put autofire in this game? The button mashing is killing my hand.

Back to Nanostray 2. Only complaint is still boss lengths and repeated patterns.

Geometry Wars Galaxies for me, though only on and off whenever I'm bored.

The DS really is full of casual games, and I love it for it :D
