I'm hoping this one is a little more high-energy than the original.

With an artstyle like that, yup, this game is Soulless (seems uberly generic galge crap).

That said, what are they going to add this time?

I'm hoping they'll add the removal of shops.

A few thought it was an April Fool's joke when they announced on their website that Trouble Witches was going to be an arcade game last year at around this time. -_-

Anyway, I liked the first Trouble Witches. While it was quite on the easy side, the charm is over 9000 and the game design was a breath of fresh air compared to the sea of danmaku shmups I've been seeing for the past few years. I would easily recommend this game to newcomers into the genre if they're not already scared off by the cartoony graphics.

Also, yeah, the character designs are lacking the crazy costumes from the first game. That's what they get for being Keytards. But it's really too soon to tell if this game is going to suck or not, and if my past experience with this circle's games go, their sequels get progressively harder, which is always a good thing.

I agree all around Daijoubu. And honestly I wouldn't want the game much faster or without shops, that's part of the personality of the game. Now, tighter stages are DEFINITELY a must... there are some really annoying empty gaps in a lot of stages in the first that they really should have tightened up.
