GPX2, Cradle, Arcade Stick and TV!

Post by spadgy »

A quick question about running a arcade stick through the GP2X via the newish cradle...

This cradle - http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-d1- ... -1f8w.html

Basically, and arcade stick that works for MAME (I use my Virtua Stick High Grade for MAME on my Mac), should work through this yes? Anybody actually done it with a stick?

Second. Anybody who has the cradle - do I need to also buy a cable like this http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-d1- ... -1y6s.html to run through the cradle onto a TV screen, or does the cradle come with the needed cable?

Finally - any probs with running through either the cable or cradle onto a UK old style back-projection TV?

Any help greatly appreciated!

I used to have a GP2X F-100 which I sold thinking I would replace it with a F-200, but I just lost interest. The setup looks like it could work, but the quality of emulation left much to be desired, at least back when I was still into it. You might as well hack a slim PSP to take joystick inputs.

I'm hesitant to tinker with my PSP as I'm utterly confused by the PSP emlation/homebrew machine, and my job requires I can play new games on the newest Firmware, whereas I know my GP2X's innards fairly well. Might have to go out on a limb and get the hub, as I've been happy with the emulation quality.

Not sure how it bares being blown up onto the big screen though...
