Can anyone give me one f_cking reason why i should not like this to ease the pain of not owning a Jap Xbox 360 right now. Not being able to play this compilation is eating away at me now knowing that its available. BTW is RFJ on this as well (did not see screens on PA for it, just the other two i think)

Erinu, I would be interested to see pics of the theme.

Glad it's finally downloadable for silver users now. I hate that they started doing that week delay or whatever it is. The wait was worth it though, the frame lag was non-existant, no little graphic glitches or stutters like I experience in MAME.

They've gotta bring this out here. Come on, like 30 bucks. The reviews couldn't be that bad, you're getting three games for XBLA competitive prices. It's a series people actually know, no moe stuff, I think it would be a success if they put some grassroots marketing strength behind the release. Dooo it UFO or somebody, please.

This is Raiden Fighters Aces' theme:

I like it, it's pretty much the default theme with the covers appearing transparent in the background. It has a grid-like pattern and isn't too messy. It's only 150 points, so I'm not complaining. I wonder if there's a Triggerheart Exelica theme.. better check later.

Iirc, PS2 power cables have a different shape at the point where they plug into your console. Or am I thinking of the DC? One has an '8' shape; the other is similar but with a flat edge on one end.

And thanks for the info, Lech. Interesting read.
The Saturn is like that. US has a flat edge and the JP is 8 shaped. The JP cable will fit into a US system, but not the other way around.
Feedback will set you free.

I've read that in Retro Gamer but they were talking about Raiden IV; not RFAces.

A quote from my "other hangout"

Damn, why hasnt a region solution for 360 surfaced yet - These 3 games are the culmination of one of the best V-shooter series of all times.

Woes me

I'm a sad panda now that this is out and I can't play it. :(

I've never had the chance to play any of these three games and I've always wanted too ever since I first saw screens of them years ago.

I won't be buying a JP 360 any time soon. I'd like to think someone would bring it over here, but I just don't see it happening.

I have no sig whatsoever.

Not to disappoint you, but go back and read lech's post from the previous page.
Erinu wrote:Anyway, as predicted the game is region locked. Which is good news for me. Check out Play-Asia's page on the game if you want (I can't be assed linking right now).
Awesome, this sort of attitude is exactly what I would expect from a Persona 3 fan.

Maybe you should think about making sense before making insults.

I'll give you another chance. Go ahead.

Thanks for those snaps Erinu. It's definitely easier on the eyes than that Puyo Pop theme I got so excited about. Might buy it soon.

...but you're still evil for being glad about the region lock.

I wasn't insulting anyone here. Apparently being a fan of Persona 3 means I'm meant to come off with some sort of attitude, which is just plain dumb.

I'm not glad about it - I don't care if it is. I always knew it was region locked (despite not officially knowing), as is every other game in Japan. It's pretty much the same deal for all 360 games.

There's some games which were released in Asia, that are region locked to NTSC-J and have English (ie. Blue Dragon) since I assume the majority of people in Singapore/Hong Kong/etc also speak English, then there's some games which are released in Japan, which are totally region locked, ie. iDOLM@STER, Culdcept Saga, Senko no Ronde, Shikigami no Shiro III, or Earth Defense Force 3.

Although EDF3 was localized, the US version doesn't work in Japanese consoles (same deal with Culdcept Saga). Then there's other games which were localized, like Senko no Ronde, which are region free. It just comes down to the fact that different developers handle region locking their own way, but there's no NTSC-J exclusive that's region free so far.

Something stopped me from importing Shikigami no Shiro III but I can't think what it was..

Why on earth would they region lock this game? Surely sales of such a niche title would benefit by being able to be played by all. Shall we get a petition together?

I would like to see how you intend to remove the region lock from discs that have already been pressed ;)

Played the demo last night. Now even sadder.

They put a lot of love into this port.

No love for the shooter fans outside of Japan though.

The thing that's irritating- I love 360's library- but it's looking like I'll need to be a JP console to play some of the neat crap...owning 2 piece of crap consoles is too much : (

If this is your stance then I take that back.

I was wondering how someone could actually be happy for region locking, and my only explanation goes something like this:

P3 sig banner -> P3 fan -> huge Japanophile -> hates it when Western reviewers and the masses score niche Japanese games too low -> would rather a game be region locked instead (they don't deserve this game anyway)

You could replace P3 with any number of games like Idolmaster in the chain, but you don't have an Idolmaster banner in your sig, after all.

He has expressed exactly that. Too lazy to look where.

It's only CERO 15 because it lets you touch their boobs, but that's clothed, never undressed. Nothing suspicious.

Actually, I think I said that about the shitty reviewers thing. Though I was more trying to figure out and explain where Erinu was coming from than agreeing with him.

Same reason as always with less mainstream releases: because the number of international sales would be negligable in comparison with the amount that they'll be aiming to make from licensing it to a foreign publisher.

off-topic true story: a friend of a friend recently came back from japan after 6 months of teaching english in one of the more rural areas. he'd met his japanese-native mentor before setting off to japan, and chatted about all the in's-and-out's etc. when arriving in tokyo, about twenty foot away from his mentor, he waves, but the guy flat ignores him. a day later they meet again at the mentor's office, and he asks "didn't you see me at the airport yesterday?". and the guy says "sorry, all you foreigners look the same to me". the guy is 6'1 with red hair

seems to be a quite a xenophobic nation.
