Ketsui worth the price?

For some reason, prior to this thread, I'd never heard that Ketsui was especially hard. So is it more difficult than DOJ?!?

Watch the complete run at SuperPlay, URA loop has enemies shooting a whole damn lot of suicide bullets, not counting the regular bullet spam that is also very fast and has weird trajectories. First loop is considerably easy, though.

DOJ's second loop is still harder because you start with only 2 lives.

Reasonable. Though the difference between first and second loops in Ketsui is pretty brutal.

Actually you start DOJ's second loop without a single ship in stock, so dying in 2-1 means game over. That and the fact that some of the bullet patterns obviously weren't design to be dodged by a human being makes DOJ'second loop an absolute hell.

i find ketsui to be harder, because the bullet patterns are a lot tighter. althought i might be in the minority on that one. but at least bullet density/speed is static in ketsui. whereas doj will chuck more at you the better you're scoring

If a piece of toast with the Virgin Mary burned into it is worth $20,000 or whatever, Ketsui is easily worth $50,000. Value is what it's worth to someone else. For a person who is really fed up with the current generation (and most of last) I don't mind dropping $1000 on a game I'll play for weeks on end...especially if I can sell it for what I put into it when I'm done (although that rarely happens).
