Post by ilike2game »

Wrong forum, but yes. Ripoff price though when you can get a new Mas Systems Supernova (same as in that auction) with 2 Mas sticks for $300 new directly from Mas (and down to $200 used). Very cheap for a supergun and top of the line Happ US parts on the sticks (same used in actual US arcades) but the supergun quality is a bit lacking and design is quite bulky.

If you're on a budget, you're probably better off getting one of D-Lite's custom built superguns and modded arcade sticks. If you can splurge, you may as well get a top-quality Sigma from GP.

Board FAQ, regarding Superguns wrote:Commercial models exist, but the Mas Systems Super NOVA should be avoided like the plague.
Comparing the pics from the FAQ and the eBay one, seems to be really this one to be avoided.

Either a D-Lite model from multimods.com or check out GaijinPunch's sale list here for Sigma supergun models that he can export from Japan.

People say the video quality on the Supernova isn't great, but I never noticed that and am not aware of any actual issues with playing games (except the few that don't work on any supergun). I use a Sigma myself and it works fantastic. I'd personally recommend a Sigma, but make sure you do your research beforehand.

Moved to Hardware.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.
