This Swedish guy has a modded PC Engine console hooked up to a custom-made PC Jet Jamma output board. Interesting setup on how the both player 1 and player 2 controls by using a 2-player PC Engine Tap...

I'm curious as to if such a Jamma mod could be done with a USA region TurboGrafx-16 or Turbo Duo console... ^_~

known, certainly some HK professionnal trick hack

i have modded a pcengine (rgb, sound, 2 pads hack) to jamma years ago, it was simple when i found a special little pad who had a 2nd player connector (since these old pictures where it was 1player only). yet is remains "rare" thing among arcade community :/ (genesis, saturn jamma are much more common)

what misses for sure. Credit input, and VIDEO AMP. years too that many people talk or theories about videamp homemade, none proof yet of good simple way

(so that works good on old euro cabs, but you have to boost (and so on not good for long period... force contrast for japanese cabs)

Thanks for the cool link about another homemade PC Engine-to-Jamma hack. ^_~

I recall a German eBay seller selling such a white PC Engine to Jamma conversion hack some time back. Don't know if it sold or not though...

My friend actually has one of these b/c he bought a Galaga 88 at a Super Auctions and this was inside instead of the real PCB. The funny thing about it was it had some sticker on it from middle of nowhere Oklahoma for a vending company. I really wonder who knew about this stuff back then in Oklahoma of all places. I'll never forget the call like 2 hours after the auctions. "Dude, you're never gonna believe this but there's a PC Engine in my cabinet, not the pcb!!!!!!!" Guess some operators were using these as a cheap alternative for some games. I looked at the game but didn't play it, so I didn't notice the pause button built in. My friend was like yeah I thought that was weird, lol. Gotta watch out at those Super Auctions.

Yep, it's buyer beware at those Super Auctions as you never know what you're gonna get -- could be the real arcade PCB deal, emulation in the form of an Gamebox generic PC to Jamma setup or like in your friend's case, a PC Engine modded to Jamma setup...
