How Can I Play Touhou Project Games?
So how does one play these games, have they been released on a certain platform or what?

It's a series of PC games.

Paletweb sells the game for $17.99 (the sheer volume of content packed into Imperishable Night provides a good bang for the buck here). As for leeching, search google for doujinstyle or go ask your favorite torrent trackers. (And be prosecutedt to the full extent of the jam.)

6, 7, 7.5, 8, 9.5, and 10 are all purchasable at this point. 10.5 should be out soon. I also heard something about 1-5 being ported to Windows and up for sale by ZUN... a special order? It was over at STC somewhere, maybe you should check that out. You should know names, if you don't there's always the Touhou Wiki which is the only sane info site on the web. Perfect Cherry Blossom and Imperishable Night may slow down on bullet-heavy patterns if you're running them on anything lower than P4 1.5 GHz or its equivalent. EoSD just doesn't have that many bullets, and other games are very well-optimized (whereas I get 0.5% to 4% framedrop with PCB and IN, it's never worse than 1% with PoFV, StB and MoF).ilike2game wrote:cool, last question, these will run on a regular pc, no great specs required?

Perfect Cherry Blossom English translation patch.
Imperishable Night English translation patch.
Just to make things easier.
Also, if you're ordering from Palet (which I highly recommend--despite the typical Japanese sketchiness of their website I've had nothing but good dealings with them for the past two years) you might as well order both games if your money allows--both airmail and EMS shipping are a bit spendy for a single CD, and I don't think your shipping cost will change much if at all for 2 CDs as opposed to 1.
