I know a japanese girl who has a kind of "rougher/smokey" voice like you describe, but she doesn't sound manish at all like the girl in your video. She sounds really sexy in japanese and french and she's just hot as well @_@
Warp_Rattler wrote: Oh god, to hell with the Japanese chicks that speak in that goddamned baby talk. Nothing in the world is less attractive than a girl in her mid-20's to early 30's that still tries to dress like she's in high school and talks like middle school. That shit might seem sexy simply due to the whole exotic factor, but when you see it day in and day out you just wonder when they're going to grow up.
actually she's only 21 but I agree that she's behaving a little childish indeed. I still think she sounds incredibly sexy ^_^ There's way way worse in the "childish" type.

I've heard that humen women are very tame during intercourse compared to Klingon women. I would have to go to one of the conventions to find out.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

But you know I'm just jealous.
The language isn't the big one for me, as long as the girl's voice has a soft and airy timbre, I find that to be very attractive. I think this kind of voice mixes with Mandarin and Shanghainese very well.

English and Spanish would be the most spoken, depending on whether you mean romance or Romance.

I agree. I don't know what JoshF meant, but I didn't haven English in mind in my original statement, irrespective of whether it was a Romance language or not (which it isn't).
Not sure what Josh was trying to communicate.

A Romance language is a language derived from Latin.

Not as bad as Americans are at pronouncing stuff in French...or any other language, really (English included).

IIRC "Romance" is the proper term. Though I guess Rando or somebody would be a better authority on that.
As for the topic at hand, in my own case beggars can't be choosers, so...

And your point is what exactly?
I'm still confounded by your earlier English and Spanish statement..

You said any one of the "most widely spoken romance languages" and English and Spanish are more widely spoken than the examples you gave. But according to that article English doesn't count.

Could be but I'm not sure so I opted for the easy way out.

Komi language - you've studied this, or been to the Urals, EOJ? It's a highly unusual choice, I think!

Yeah, I've studied nearly all of the 40 Uralic languages (it was my main research focus for awhile). I've never been to the Komi republic, but I have lots of audio tapes of the language. It's indeed a sexy language when spoken by a lady.
