Short throw stick part for Virtua Stick High Grade...
Anybody modded a Virtua Stick High Grade yet? I'm looking to put in a stick with a far shorter throw (and engage) but not sure what might go...
Hmmm... spot welding? Not quite my field of expertise. Oh well...cody wrote:VSHGs are quite snug inside. You're not going to be able to get anything non-sanwa in there without a lot of work. There's a vf player who put a semitsu in there, but afaik it required grinding off the existing mounts and spotwelding new ones on.
Seimitsu LS56 fits ok, just 2mm lower. Dont know if there is an -01 version, soldered the wires.

So if Im reading this all correctly, Just because its an HRAP 1,2 or 3 made by the same company, HORI, that dosent mean that all 3 HRAPs have the same button &/or stick mounting dimensions. Correct?
And that would be because the makers of sticks & buttons, HAPP, Sanwa, Semitsu & the like have decided that they want to all make different sizes, different mounting configurations etc thats proprietary to their product. Correct?
So I had better know what the specific dimensions of my stick require before I order anything because its quite possible it wont fit into the case Im modding without, well...modding. Correct?

Thanks for that - saves me investing in any HRAPs, as much as I want one!wrdaniel wrote:the Seimitsu56 mentioned above was for vshg
And in your experience, the 56 was better than that loose wobbly VSHG stick? Ijust really want my VSHG to hve a slightly firmer, short-throw stick...
SIx months later EDIT!
The 56 stick, by the way, went in easy - I had to cut some plastic away but it was an easy job with a knife, and very obvious where to do what once you try and put it together.
