Entering the testmenu (psikyo pcb)

Post by Plasmo »

How do I enter the testmenu on my Strikers 99 pcb? My supergun does NOT have a testmenu switch for that...
Many thanks in advance!

Don't have one to look at right now, but it will be one of these:

Tiny black button on board
Either dip switch 1 or 8 (probably 8) -has to be switched before power on.

No dip switches?
there's got to be- but you'd see them right there I guess.

You could look up the jamma pinout, touch a wire or paperclip between the test pin and the ground pin (on the controler end oposite the slotted end). That would work fine

Now that sounds interesting! Unfortunately I have absolutely no idea where these pins are....sorry I'm still such a noob when it comes to PCB's.
Heres a pic of the PCB and maybe you could show me where the needed pins are:
(sorry for the blurry pic)

Thanks very much in advance dpful!

I finally want to compete with others on default settings...(mine is on 3 lives and very easy at the moment I think)

http://www.coin.demon.co.uk/jamma.htm

the 'parts' side is the "top" of the PCB.

In that picture, the bottom two pins on the jamma connector are ground, and the 15th pin up is test. Remember to count the key/slot as a "pin"

Yeah, that's cool :D

Knowing where that stuff connects is how you troubleshoot probs with the buttons, power, video etc.

You could always add a test button now, too, and other buttons if you don't have enough.
