That's not cool. No miss all the way up to stage 5 in Battle Bakraid] and then lose everything. Chain, stock, everything.

Esprande, Raiden Fighters Jet and Rapid Hero.

Just got back into shmups and havent played anything new since back in the raystorm/raycrisis/einhander days (meaning they were new then), so kinda keeping it sane for now although these games are quite intense compared to that stuff I grew up playing on NES and even the first playstation.

I'll get into the harder stuff after I actually remember what dodging stuff feels like. These few games seem challenging but not impossible like that Perfect Cherry Blossom game that seemed to laugh at me when from the moment I hit start :/

I'm not shmupping much right now, I just discovered Transport Tycoon. However with the release of Triggerheart, I might play me some of that on the Dreamcast just incase any of my 360 owning chums get into the flying robot loli groove (which thus far they have not).

Then you had to sell off your remaining points and bought a farm in the desert.

Radiant Silvergun for the first time last night.

Hoboy, this one's gonna take some practice. Doesnt help that Im not at all used to shmups with, well, walls.

I am, so far, really really good at finding hilariously stupid ways to crash and blow up in this :P

Too many buttons, havent been this confused since the first time I played Defender at the arcade (80 bazillionty years ago.... well, ok, Im only 26, so more like...... uh.... 12 years.... but that's still alot!)

And then I yelled at Mushihime some more. Didnt have ANY luck with that.......

I've decided not to wait for my 360 owning friends to get Exelica and have been playing it on the DC, and having a lot more than 6/10's worth of fun.

Whats the current asking price for this game anyway? I'd like a legit copy.

Decided to temporarily (read: possibly forever) take a break from Garegga. Stage 4 gets on my nerves. I wasn't really playing anything else, though I got to the final stage in Batrider!

Instead I have went back to Mahou Daisakusen, and if I hadn't died to those stupid lightning wizard bombers in stage 5 I would have easily made that 1CC!

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I still have TD2 going. Too addictive for some reason.

Vasara and Sengoku Ace. Ace is pretty easy for a Psikyo game; maybe I should attempt something real here.

I'm going through my Saturn collection looking for games I still haven't beat. Just finished Darius II, I think I'll go for Blast Wind next, or maybe I'll try to improve in Darius Gaiden.

Decided to give Thunderforce IV a try, and holy hell this game is awesome.

Going for the 1cc now.

EDIT: Screw 1cc. Going for the 1LC now!

EDIT: Done 8)

Raiden Project & Raiden DX. While I'm on the PS1, though, I don't think I'll be able to resist another go at R-Type Delta.

I'm trying to get into my newest additions to my shmup collection, that is Shippu Mahou D and Shienryu. My initial impression is that they are both rather interesting.

In between I play Flashback SFC and Last blade NG, because they are awesome games.

I've gone back to Batrider. This game is such a ball buster. I swapped my character and stage orders to more easily trigger extra bosses, my last run I was two hundred thousand away from my normal high score with all of Highway left, triggered Bashinet, Gob Robo, Blackheart and Bashinet at the Coliseum and I was feeling fucking good. Never dropped my medal chain and one lifed BashiMK2 for the first time... then Highway started and I realized I had done enough to trigger Tsunami and got fucking housed. This game keeps creeping up my top 10.
Feedback will set you free.

Yesterday I was playing Mahou Daisakusen for Macaw's tournamente, then some Shikigami No Shiro II. Shiki II went from a "Completely not impressed by playing the PC demo" from "This is FUCKING AWESOME" in a couple of weeks. Shame Shiki 3 didn't get a PS2 release.

Right now:
DoDonPachi, because:
A. I really really want to understand why this board considers this the best shmup of all time and
B. I really really want to get excited about Ketsui and DDP DOJ BL so I don't second guess my upcoming purchase of a Japanese 360.

Though sadly, I'm not getting anywhere with either. I mean, I like DDP, but even with me chaining stages 1 and 2 and getting to stage 5 I just do not see why its considered the best (or even in the top 5) shmup. :?

Also, Batsugun. Because Batsugun is f'ing awesome anytime you're playing it. :D

I'm guessing for difficulty reasons. Once you get to loop 2 or whatever.

Trizeal... it's one of the most awesomely uninspired shmups I've seen in a long while. Gonna move on to something better as soon as I beat it, which means on the next 30 minutes.
