I thought the season opener was the weak one *shrug*.Honestly i dont give a crap about claires baby either but it does make an interesting little mystery.Did Kate kidnap Arron?Did something happen to claire and she wanted kate to take care of arron or kate just took it upon herself?Could claire just not leave the island but she wanted her baby off?Did sawyer knock kate up and she named her baby after claires baby.

So jack had a problem with the baby and he wouldnt go to kates house in the flash forward which is also interesting because arron is jacks nephew.Is the problem that he knows kate stole the baby?I guess perhap he never became aware of his relationship to claire while on the island...or maybe he did and thats part of the problem.Anyhow..

there's no way she named her baby after claire's baby. they made it very obvious in the last scene that the baby was the original aaron, it having very light blonde hair (unlike kate or sawyer), looking almost exactly like claire, and also saying "mummy".

i'm thinking that Claire died.

what we know:

in the future, there are only 8 survivors ("the oceanic 8"). we can count some of them that we have seen in the flash forwards:

jack, kate, hurley, ben, aaron. that's 5. i can't remember if there have been any others (i don't think so?) although i don't know if ben is considered one of the oceanic 8, since even though he wasn't on the plane, it is possible that people in the future think he was, since he was rescued from the island. if he's not considered one of them, that means there are 4 others instead of 3

there aren't that many other major characters left that we haven't seen in the flash forwards, and it wouldn't make plot-sense for them to be minor characters.. so i'm thinking the other 3 or 4 are the ones with the best survival instinct -- locke & sayeed at least, unless somebody ends up killing locke which is likely

You forgot Sayid from that list.

However, the Oceanic 8 only refers to the people that were "rescued". I thought it was implied that the rest of the survivors were left (or more likely decided to stay) on the island. Doesn't Jack say at one point to Kate that they "have to go back for them"? And then there's also the part where Hurley tells Jack that he hasn't told anyone about their secret.

Also, this episode (possibly) explains who is waiting for Kate when she and Jack meet up in the finale of Season 3. It's either the parole officer (as was speculated earlier) or more likely Aaron.

Its the oceanic 6.During kates trail jack mention that 8 people survived the plane crash but two of them died.jack, kate, hurley, sayid and....arron?that means one more, maybe two if they arent counting the baby.It cant be the new people because they werent on oceanic flight 815.Same with ben.Im thinking sun.So why did jack say only 8 originally suvived the plane crash during his testimony.I think...

Its a cover up of oceanics cover up.Everyone saw footage of the plane at the bottom of the ocean but the pilot guy said that that was not right.The pilot of 815 missing his wedding ring and all.So oceanic was trying to cover up the truth for some reason.That why jack said the survivors landed in the water and two of them died before making it to shore.Because how would they explain the plane on the bottom of the ocean and 48 survivors on the island...minus how ever many have died.Maybe they are getting money to lie about it or maybe oceanic had a deal with them to get off the island.I dunno.

Best fuckin' episode ever!This is the best season besides the first ..so far.Every episode has been better than the last.I hope they keep it up.

Sayid episode was the best thus far. This one was pretty good. Only one I thought was kinda 'meh' was the Kate one.

Maybe they are getting money to lie about it or maybe oceanic had a deal with them to get off the island.I dunno.

They get extra honey roasted peanuts on Oceanic flights.

but i always like Desmond episodes, he's probably my favourite character. and he always seems to be the one to get caught up in some crazy time travel shit

juliet is a great character, although i was surprised that the predictableness didn't happen at the end -- i thought for certain, kate would see juliet & jack kissing, and then get all dick-tease confused again

This is one of the episodes people hate for "nothing happening" that I like. I liked it more than the last one.

Great looking, yes, but a bit vanilla, as a character. I guess, though, that most of the characters are very distinctive and memorable; it's good to have a more reserved character. One advantage is that because they have left her character a bit underdrawn, they can leave you hanging, wondering what that look on her face means. They do this often and to good effect.

Yeah that last episode left us with a pretty good little cliff hanger.I have trouble believing they would kill the french chick off like that though...Im really excited about the big war or whatever that is comming up LOL.I want to see Locke get all Apocalypse Now and go crazy on the war path.
