what the heck is this? is it any good?

i already just bought a hori upscan converter, but now i find out it doesn't support progressive scan and i'd really like to see what that looks like for some shadow of the colossus and contra.

would it work with only games on this list??

It's a disc that tries to force games that don't output 480p to output at 480p, and a PS2 VGA cable. You could probably use the included cable without the bootdisc to play Shadow of the Colossus and the like on your monitor.

i read somewhere that the blaze adapter has region lockout. i have a US ps2. is it the cable itself that has the lockout, or the boot disc? i could give a crap about the boot disc if what you say is right about getting the games to work that already support progressive scan mode

since this seems to be the cheapest place i've found to get the cable, i'm hoping i can just grab it here and go with it :)
