Well, this is great news. I just hope they come over here, AND there are some newer releases(ESP 2, Mushi Futari, Death Smiles).

However, these are probably two of the least interesting for me, because I didn't like DOJ and Ketsui is supposed to be nearly as hard as it. So, it's beyond me. Bring on the Galudas!

ESPGaluda II is not really that much easier than DOJ and Ketsui.

You would think they would want to port newer Cave games to one of the current consoles (galuda 2 onwards~) but no, still stuck in early 2000.

And yes Ketsui port is awesome, but thats beside the point.

I think it's ridiculous to port them to such a hunk of shit in the first place, but here we are. Here's what the developer is like thinking.

1: How many people play their 360 on a 4:3 TATEable TV: 8
2: How many people give a shit or know what TATE is: 12
3: Why put it in.

Other features are listed, and TATE isn't. It's such an easy feature. They will get my evil laugh if they forget it.

I'd rather get the DS version because it comes with a superplay DVD.

yes, but that's about as good as JP X360, isn't it? I mean, if it blows up, you can't send it back to Microsoft because you've voided your warranty with the mod chip.

Last I knew 'modified' xboxes still honored region lockout. I'm trying to find a real answer and not coming up with much.

I'd really love to see the numbers required to turn a profit on this. It looks like they basically bought the license (and source, I'm sure) from Cave. Not cheap. Then dev & publishing costs.

as a current (again) Ketsui owner- and searcher of the Black Label- this makes me VERY happy. I hope the ports turn out halfway decent- I'm really wanting to play BL- and I hope this means more Shmup people will have a chance to play/enjoy Ketsui : )

I think everyone has already voiced all the important concerns- I really hope this pans out nicely regardless of all the major danger areas that are possible.

like does microsoft even allow 4:3 content to be released? i assume they'll have to fill it up to a 16:9 ratio somehow and how would that work with tate? i don't know too many 16:9 lcd screens that are easily tate'able.

also, is there any half way decent stick out for the 360? or a way too hook up a (ps2) hori real arcade stick pro to a 360?

about state / europe side releases of these games: if memory serves me right, cave, in the past has denied publishers permission to publish their games because they were intended as "budget titles" in the states/euroland. apparently cave found this an offensive thought and there for denied permission.

about region free possibility: their latest superplay release, muchi muchi pork, is a region free NTSC DVD so this might be a hopeful nod towards their non-japanese fanbase.

despite my reservations, it's a good thing they get ported (and let's hope they get done well). personally i would have preferred the wii as their console of choice, though.
