Great news if true!! I've just mailed Mihara asking if it's his doing. He responded to my previous mail, so let's see. He has not mentioned it on his blog, in fact his most recent posts talk about Ketsui DS, and he says he's going to upload a preview vid from the superplay that will come bundled with that soon. It begs the question, why would they be including an Arcade superplay DVD with the DS version when an X360 version is coming? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I don't know a single person who has a 360 connected to a 4:3 screen. I will consider a 360 if they port Ketsui and a few others. The resolution problem must be addressed though, lets hope Arika is on board.

The only way to approach it is a fake scanlines option. Even then, it won't be as good as an arcade monitor, but better than no filter at all.

Souta House is generally spot on from what I remember... I'm wondering if there's ever been a case of them being wrong. They first listed it as "Donpachi Daioujou Black Label". Seems to have been a mistype.

I don't care much about the scanline issue, just want sharp sprites. Mushi looks like your playing it under water

Throw on fake scanlines... and don't filter, of course.

Wow... this plus that Raiden Fighters collection certainly is making the Xbox360 the definitivie shmupping console. Especially consider the stuff on XBLA.

Craziness. I don't typically like Cave, but I have been curious about Ketsui. Though I would love to see a home port of Dangun Feveron and/or Pro Gear. :D

Try a modded Xbox J/K

Anyways Ketsui on the 360 sounds good to me.

Now to buy a Japanese Xbox 360

I do recall Cave has a nasty habit of saying these games aren't for North Americans.

If it's going on Xbox 360, then it's for North America. Otherwise they're just throwing money out the window, in my opinion.

I honestly would prefer a PS3 release. Region free is the way to go.

I second PS3 releases. More people in Japan have PS3 than Xbox 360 by a wide margin.

Not really, considering the JP-exclusive Arika ports sold like 10-15K each on the PS2, and the Ibara port sold like 3000, and there are a hundred billion PS2s around the world. The X360 base is small in Japan, but it seems to have the highest percentage of real "gamers" (or at least people who buy their consoles to play games, and not for stuff like Wii Fit or to watch bluray movies). It also has a healthy library of niche arcade ports already.

Hopefully we're inching towards a MMPork port. Porkport.

To be honest, since I use my PS3 for blu ray movies, I wouldn't want to use it with my current TV set up.

They need to inch to a Region Free Releases

Cave has more fans outside of Japan then in it. Time to open a US office.

Anyone on the board want to volunteer?

The Xbox360 IS region free. The region locking is done on the SOFTWARE side of things. It is the decision of the PUBLISHERS to make it region locked.

If enough people yell at Arika about it being region free, then, it... might... have... a... slim... chance... of being region free. Though G.Rev did region lock Senko no Ronde. But then again, I imagine they knew it would eventually be getting a US release anyways, so... they probably knew that NOT region locking it would only result in the US release selling 0 copies.

Yeah, if Arika is actually doing it - could just as likely be a totally different company. No one has any idea yet.

Oh, from reading the thread I thought they were doing it.

Ah well. Try yelling at whoever is porting them then.

Or send Ubisoft a million emails begging for a localization. I mean shit, if they'll bring over Senko no Ronde...

And why does it have to be for the most unreliable gaming hardware ever built? You can bet your ass this will be region locked, and I'm certainly not going to buy a Japanese 360 so I can have it break down on me and be completely screwed.

I'll still import the games, but they'll remain on my shelf until there is a completely reliable 360 hardware revision available in Japan. Who knows, maybe the initial batch will have sold by 2010. :x

This isn't Gamefaqs. Sorry, to do this, but you've earned it...
