A pronounciation guide would be cool, and damn helpful. There's always some nerd who wants to correct me when I go to buy a shmup at GameCrazy, EBGames, etc..

me: "Let me get that Gray-dee-us V."

nerd: "You mean Grad-ee-us?"

me: "What the fuck ever."

According to latin pronounciation of Gladius, its without a doubt "Grad ee us". Gray-dee-us would just be an English pronounciation of latin words :P

The "keyou" is actually ki-(small yu)-u, there, and when spoken you drop the i sound so you get...Quu. da da daaa DADANDARN

So I have a crappy headset now and with it I can bless you with my beautiful voice pronouncing shmup names. Please note that I didn't put too much planing into it (especially part 3) and that I'm not used to speak english therefore you are able to enjoy my German accent and other mistakes.

The File

If you like it there is more to come or record yourself - that's a lot more interesting than writing page after page how to pronounce something correct (which doesn't even apply to made up titles imo).

No. I was hoping someone here would confirm it's correct pronunciation. :)

If you want to pronounce it latin/german it would be indeed Grad ee us, for a sound example check track 3.
