Freeloader works on Wii

No they don't.
The reason a former Wii update "broke" the GC Freeloader was that they just made the disc load faster so you didnt have enough time to change discs. So it was an unhappy side effect. Nintendo didn't release a special "break'em freeloaderz lolz hehe"-update.
Hell, Nintendo even apologized to the people who own a GC freeloader afterwards and told em that it was not on purpose.

Interesting - and they're always painted as such a stooge with regard to the Freeloader issue.
