Ok, another much loved game of mine...
Humankind's fight against the Con-Human menace! Can you be the saviour and the executioner of Earth's fate?
Please post scores in this format:
1. Randorama - 2,221,110 - Stage 5
One note on difficulty: Saturn's default difficulty is "Normal", which is actually slightly less difficult than the arcade default.I'll stick to Saturn's default and make an Arcade chart on request: if you want to compete on equal grounds though, you can switch the difficulty to "Hard 1" (one level more than "Normal"). Have fun!

2. JL - 2,761,100 - Stage 7

Oh, what a shameaventus wrote:I'm sorry to disappoint you but this score is from september 2005 and unfortunately I can't play Galactic Attack (aka layer section) at the moment due to the lack of a PAL Saturn
Well, it gives me some score to try to beat, as it's not all that far from my best score so far.
I got back to play this game 2 days ago, I am thinking about dedicating it some of my free time for the next days

I can see now why Rando likes this game (Well, everyone likes it anyway
)
The game is full of scoring tricks isn't? Except none of them are hidden (None of that shit from Batsugun) .It's amazing how much difference it makes when you lock in a certain enemy as the first one in the combo or the last one.
I just paused the game, finishing the 1st boss with a 390,200 score, and I am pretty sure it can still get better than that. Before I was finishing around 220,000 most of the time.
Heh
Edit: And I actually think I have done better before and didn't notice, as I once got the first extend while battling that big red enemy in the start of level 2, and it didn't happen in this run
Edit 2: Now I've made a 430,700 run in stage 1, and I've made at least 3 mistakes... so there's stilll room for improvement

the 1st extend is at 500,000 right?
How do you combo the first enemies? I usually lock on the first row of small ships that comes from the first big battleship, destroy them, get the laser upgrade, lock on the enemies coming from the right and THEN in the first big ship, fire, then lock in the enemies coming from the left battle ship, then in the right battleship, fire, then I destroy the left battleship with no combo.
I still think it would me cool if I could combo all the 3 big battleships in someway, and not destroy one of them "alone", but I couldn't figure out how to do it.

the guide
The beginning does involve a tactical suicide. For everything else, if anything is unclear, please let me know.

I never bothered with that tactical suicide until just now when I decided to give it a try. Seems to work well except for that I'm only given a yellow powerup item from the suicide when I'd need another laser powerup so that I can chain the last two carriers + five drones (like in the super replay). Any ideas why I'm not getting that laser?Randorama wrote:the guide

If i remember well, you need to kill at least one enemy before suiciding, maybe more than one. I can't emulate nor access a copy right now, can you check for me please
