Aside from the shit sound quality you're forced to endure, how can you live without the snazzy packaging? It looks like it comes with a fan, for christ's sake!HeLGeN-X wrote:Too bad I already ripped the OSTs from the ROMs...
Anyway, I've been looking forward to this for ages. So glad it didn't sell out instantly!

Aside from the aforementioned sound quality, the CD is really worth getting for a few reasons if you've any interest in the collectable nature of the item or the music itself. Sure, if you just want to check off "Guwange OST" on your list of 'things I can claim to have', then by all means a ROM rip should do you just fine. On the CD set though, the music for both games includes a few remix tracks (the Guwange boss music being one I can think of off the top of my head) from each game that sound quite well, as well as a full track of voice effects/sound clips from each game. Also, the slipcase, disc art, and liner notes are all gorgeous, and the fan that comes with it has a great traditional ukiyo-e feel about it; if you didn't know beforehand it was a promo item for a game, you'd have no clue just by looking at the thing. It's seriously nice enough that you wouldn't feel weird in the least about displaying it on your wall somewhere. The fiancee actually stole mine as payment for making her stand in line to get it at Cave's New Year's festival, and she's been pretty adamant about the amount of game-related decoration to go in the new house.

The comment was a failed attempt of an insult, but hey, you can thank GaijinPunch for that. And for confusing everyone here. This doesn't have anything to do with Play-Asia, they just haven't been emailing me (or anyone I know) with updates since the 13th. Possibly because Chinese New Year is in action and they're on a break. However I did order something on the 18th and it arrived today. They're a pretty trustworthy website.cody wrote:Yeah, i'm really curious what the ripoff comment is about, cause play asia already claims my copy has shipped, and $39 is cheaper than I saw anywhere else . . .
Rinkya charged my credit card for no reason in November in full amount for an order, an order which I made in June. They claimed it was being shipped to Russia (I don't live there, so). They claimed it was a "database error". SMJ quoted me $30 shipping on something, then charged me $80. It was poor representation from both site owners, so I guess GP has something in common with them~

I see. Absolutely no chance that either could've made a simple mistake. It was a deliberate attempt to fuck you. They don't have much volume either, so I could see that happening.SMJ quoted me $30 shipping on something, then charged me $80.
My vendor reputation is a DOJ 2-loop no miss clear. It was poor representation from both site owners, so I guess GP has something in common with them~

I dunno, the P&P/shipping is a few dollars more than usual: Might indicate a slightly bulkier package? Or is it a double gatefold digipack? To be honest, I can see my girlfriend stealing the fan and breaking it instantly, so it's prob for the best if it doesn't include itGaijinPunch wrote:
Wonder if this one comes w/ the Fan. I would guess not.
