Kung-Fu Hustle is awesome!

Saw it the day before yesterday. I went in with low expectations and came out amazed. One of the better and more entertaining films I have seen in the last few months. If it is showing in your area and you are remotely intrested in the genre, give it a chance, it is a truly great movie.
Anyone else seen it? Comments?

I got one comment for you "you're late in the loop"; I saw it more than a month ago in Cantonese. For everyone else, it's a funny movie, go watch it.

but if you didn't care for shaolin soccer its not better enough to make it worth paying theater price for.

I thought it was amazing. Brillant even. Lots of just absolutely hilarious bits.

I've got a DVD of Shaolin Soccer, but it's totally fucked. It skips a lot on some DVD players, and has weird subtitles, like calling it a soccer, instead of a soccer ball. It's the skipping that bugs me. I should've tried to return it, see if just my copy was defective, but I was able to get it to work on another DVD player, so I didn't bother. Now it's too late. Maybe someday I'll spring for a better copy.

While I like seeing that kind of movies, I groan into thinking the next thing we'll be bombarded with cinema-wise, is going to be bunches of aerobatic kung fu movies.

Jesus man, legitimate R0 copies are like $10-$15 shipped. It's just not worth it to go for the bootlegs...

I loved Kung Fu Hustle and thought it was easilly on par with From Bejing Wiith Love. Stephen Chow is just the man.

I think it is the legit R0 copy. My DVD player is shite, it has problems with R0 stuff.
