How many Summer Carnival shmups are there?

Just now, I recently played Recca. Why I didn't do it earlier I dunno but that thing is insanely fast. I remember there was another Summer Carnival game but I can't remember so I'm sure there could be more, or not.

Anyways how many Summer Carnival games did Naxatsoft create and what was this Summer Carnival anyways?

Recca is the only one I knew of until now. Too bad its priced out reach...I'd really like to own it. It favors a Compile shmup...one of my fav developers.

You didn't know about Summer Carnival - Nexzr, as much as Ceph hypes it up every chance he gets

I've heard of Nexzr but I've never realized it was a Summer Carnival game.

Speaking of which, I heard there is a Nexzr game with a anime intro. Is this for a special version or do they all have the animated intro? (Well not animated as in FMV but animated with sprites. Still looks cool though.)

I'm pretty sure all non-Carnival copies have the animated intro.

Nexzr -> animated cutscenes, no extra score attack mode

Nexzr Special -> extra score attack mode, no animated cutscenes

And yeah, Nexzr is awesome, incredibly polished game and good challenge.
