Daioujou, but I'm getting sick of using an arcade stick. I'm awful with them.

I ran Game tengoku in arcade tate mode just now. Great fun game. I could never do well in saturn yoko mode, but I kick a little bit of ass in tate.

Hybris, getting to the 3rd loop with my eyes closed and quitting out of boredom. Abusing the powerup system to the point where I think the games broken. I mean, all your "E"s are restored when you power up, finish a level or power down??? (ie when you get it??) Is this a genuine gameplay feature or something exclusive to the cracked version I have for WinUAE? (Amiga currently under my old bed back at my parent's)

Oh well. Kudos to Hybris for being one of the few shmups where your GIGANTIC HITBOX is an important gameplay element.
The biggest unanswered question is where is the money? [1CCS]

I been playin some Twinbee Yahoo! on the PSP. I can get to the 4th stage on occassion. Really fun game, and phenomenal music. Dying can really put a ruin on your run when you're more than 2 stages in though.

Also been playin some of the other portable shmups occasionally, like Gradius II and IV, quality.

Just picked up a Shmup for the PSP at the CompuUSA firesale. It's called Platypus. I've never seen nor heard of this game but i figured it was worth the chance for 14.99. It's a very simple shmup w/ a limited time weapon up system. My only gripe about it is some of the color scheme. Some enemy ships are hard to see, ntm the enemy bullets. But the fact that the whole game is literally like watching clay-in-motion including ships exploding in a clay storm makes for interesting shmup. It doesn't really have the best feel moreso due to the unfriendly shmup button setup of the PSP. But i'm enjoying it none-the-less

Zing Zing Zip and Thunder Dragon 2. Random temporary powerup and shooting the words "Battle Is Begun".

NONSHMUP: Puzz Loop 2 - Panic mode. Very addicting for some reason.

Bizarre. I come here to write "Zanac" and I see the word everywhere. Nice coincidence.

Yesterday I credit-fed through Rayxanber III (PC Engine).

Thoughts:

- The game is a lot more fun to play than the predecessor (because it's easier)
- The pixel art is absolutely amazing!
- The yellow laser has a really really annoying soundeffect
- Overall a great game though, I give it a 8/10

Dodonpachi (JPN PS/PSP ) and Progear (PSP).Im really addicted to Progear atm and its actually better played on PSP than DDP.Hori Shmups in general are more suitable for PSP than Vert ones due to PSP Screen.I still find hard to play vert shumps in tate mode on PSP.When Im home DDP still eats all my free gaming time.

A Psikyo-marathon! Started out with Strikers 1, then Gunbird and finally Strikers 2. Played them about an hour each, and I am having a lot of trouble with these games. As soon as level 1-3 it's a bomb fest in all of them. I did best in Strikers 1, and worst in Gunbird. Frustratingly fun, though.

Ugh, playing shmups on PSP is gross, the D-pad is busted. I regret buying Gradius for it.

Currently playing Dragon Blaze, Strikers 1945 II, Raiden Fighters Jet, and just recently a little Gunbird 2.

Battle Bakraid and Batrider out of sheer boredom! I actually got somewhere, but not entirely score wise. I need to know how to get everything in Batrider first...

Trying to get the hang of Battle Garegga right now. After reading the guide for the game, I’ve come to the conclusion that it is the shooting game for extremely smart people.
