Put simply, I love it. This is the breath of fresh air the franchise needed - scripts, at least so far, are very well written, acting is also high quality and Summer Glau is one hell of a sexy terminator :D
The series has HUGE potential.

I haven't watched it yet, but anything that is a step toward this being on network TV has to have some kind of value.

I haven't seen it and i'm very skeptical. Same with the new movie. At least they got Christian Bale to play John Conner though.

Go ahead and see it, it really is good...and quite different compared to the movies because they now have the time to flesh out the characters.

I actually ENJOYED nr3 but hate the TV series. But then again, I enjoy movies that end with global thermonuclear war and dislike TV series with no real story to tell.

T3 wasn't bad at all considering - the director has always been fairly competent. It has far too much comedy (like most Hollywood baloney) but it didn't ruin the franchise like AVP. Certainly slightly underrated.

The new series looks like a pile of fucking balls, and I've been so disenchanted with Hollywood to the point of boycotting anything they turn out: from Die Hard 4 to Transformers, they just seem to flush any integrity the originals had down the toilet.
I'll reserve proper judgement until I watch an episode. But a teenage female terminator?

Not holding my breath.

It's the next logical step after giving them racks.

I like it. I've got a lot of questions. Such as: in the pilot, shouldn't there be another bank surveillance video of the vault? Which would have clearly shown the T-888 bashing the vault door until it caved it. I'm betting that theres a black ops group collecting any terminator evidence before that FBI agent can see it.

Anyway I still love the show and I want to see more.
But of all people, they chose David.
Oh well, at least it's not one of the others :D

The pilot was good. I bet it will be fillerific from there onwards 'cause it would just cost too much to make every episode like that.

Edit: I like it. I marathoned through all five episodes so far.

So, just saw season 1's last episode (ep 9). I still think it is a very cool show.
Will there be a season 2? Anybody know if they are filming season 2 yet?
Well apparantly they are judging from IMDB.
Well by the time they start airing them, perhaps in 6-8 months? please resurrect this thread or you will be of no use to me anymore.

Yeah ive seen them all now. The writers strike has really fucked up the length of seasons dramatically so its a bit short for my liking hopefully they will fix this with the next season.

Ive watched the first 3eps giving it a chance but some things just annoyed me so much that I cant watch.

1. the show has no direction. all they can do is run
2. the 'enemy' terminators are weak
3. female chick terminator is NOT hot. she looks f-ing weird to me and her acting annoys me to no end. Yes shes a termichick and doesnt know any better but she kills it for me.

Also I loved T3. Sure the story was kinda weak and there was no way to save the world, but it had lots of small details in it that the first two didnt. For once the Terminators had mass, and you could tell these things were heavy as hell. not something that was shown in the earlier movies.

1 Well, actually it does, give it a shot
2 How are they weak?
3 She's from Firefly as well, she is weird, but she does have her moments.
I guess you are not a huge terminator fan if these points prevent you from watching this. Oh well, I'm not saying it is the end of the world great, but I am very eager to see season 2. The show could use more action, but there still is lots of suspense.

According to an interview with the producers on IGN they plan to do four seasons.
The impression that the Terminators seem weak might be due to two facts imo:

a. contrary to the films the series is not mainly about action sequences but more about the "nature" of skynet and the terminators.

b. they probably going to add the "mass" and more dangerous models as the series continues (and the budget increases).

The last two episodes alone were imo better than the third movie.
