I'm still active (from time to time). I'd still like to meet up with any local shumppers.
I can be easily reached on AIM as PixyJunket if anybody wants to hit me up.
Actually, me and a few friends are going to Austin in a couple of weeks to check out this arcade there, THEY are going for Street Fighter IV but I'm going to play Espgaluda II (I think I'll cry when I finally get to play it) and Death Smiles.

Hey, Arcade UFO in Austin is tight!! I live near the arcade. Everyone who lives close should check it out.

You'd be amazed at how many bullets you can dodge by simply standing still
Re: anyone in Dallas, TX area?
Just a bump to say that arcade UFO has DDP Daifukkatsu now. If anyone from dallas wants to organize a trip to austin, I'll help in whatever way I can.

Damn, I was just in Austin Thursday and Friday but didn't have time to go by there.cody wrote:Just a bump to say that arcade UFO has DDP Daifukkatsu now. If anyone from dallas wants to organize a trip to austin, I'll help in whatever way I can.

I may be interested sometime, but it'd have to be planned. I'd have to come all the way from Oklahoma.cody wrote:Just a bump to say that arcade UFO has DDP Daifukkatsu now. If anyone from dallas wants to organize a trip to austin, I'll help in whatever way I can.
Re: anyone in Dallas, TX area?
it's a shame there is no arcade in Dallas.
Last time I was at UFO (~6 months ago) they had Espgaluda II, DoDonPachi (no Daifukkatsu *yet*). These were both in the front area.
In the back they had Death Smiles and Blazing Star (tucked away in the back).

I'm in OKC and would be down for a trip sometime next year. I don't have any PCBs to contribute and I'm no ace shooter, but I'm down with hanging out.

I'm in the same boat as Square King it seems, the only difference being that I'm from Houston.
Re: anyone in Dallas, TX area?
I'm an Austin guy... wouldn't mind having a chat or hanging out for a day. I could bring up my laptop and a bunch of snacks. Sounds like fun.
I also have relatives up there so an extended stay is possible.

Another from ATX. I created an Austin thread awhile ago but it's been long since buried.
edit: just posted an update in the Austin thread so look out for the dust.

We really need to get a cab and some boards between the two of us.Square King wrote:I'm in OKC and would be down for a trip sometime next year. I don't have any PCBs to contribute and I'm no ace shooter, but I'm down with hanging out.
I think oxtsu has been overly busy of recent. At least I don't see him around here too often.

I'd love to pick up a cheap cab. oxtsu PM'd me recently with an offer on one of his candy cabs (had to decline, sadly), so at least we know he's still alive.neist wrote:

Also, for this potential TX meetup: I do have the standard US-region/reg free shmups for 360 availble to bring -- RFA, Raiden IV and Mushi, as well as an extra Hori stick.

You're from Dallas, now live in Tokyo, like shmups, and have a newborn?
I think you and I are running parallel lives.

Thats just... bizarre.
