Yeah, but he sent a Raiden Fighters 1. Said it came out of a Raiden Fighters Jet cabinet and he didn't even notice really since he deals in pinball. I still assume $75 is a great deal for the game though.
Thats probably about the right price for RF, but I'd still call this a bait and swtich. The auction you won shows pictures of the monitor with RFJ, and also shows a picture of the PCB with an RFJ sticker on it. Were the pictures bogus?caldwert wrote: Yeah, but he sent a Raiden Fighters 1. Said it came out of a Raiden Fighters Jet cabinet and he didn't even notice really since he deals in pinball. It's a *bit* low for an RF; they seem to go right around 12k on yahoo. It's certainly not a deal of the century but it's a pretty good price overall.Dave_K. wrote:Thats probably about the right price for RF, but I'd still call this a bait and swtich. I'd still be annoyed, though.

How much did it cost if you don’t mind (Just ignore the post if you don’t want to say;) )Geezer wrote:Dave_K. wrote:Geezer, no PCB with that kit?![]()
The kit was pieced together as opposed to bought whole, but still a lot cheaper than 140K, so worth the effort
What are your impressions of the game? I love the artwork in this one & I know Charliechong wants it BAD!
It's fun! It's a departure from the normal Raizing gameplay style, but it retains some similarities. You can find out more about the gameplay system here in EOJ's strat threadmarkedkiller78 wrote:How much did it cost if you don’t mind (Just ignore the post if you don’t want to say;) )

Comparing my style of play with the superplay there are a number of scoring tips I can see, I think the game will have good longevity for me.
I generally much prefer the straight up military themed shooters a lot more but this is very 'cute military' and works well. Everything is animated really nicely, there's also a couple of nice visual effects chucked in. I'd say it's one of the best looking Cave games.
I was worried the sound effects would get very irritating after watching some replays but they don't. I liken it to the way the lock on sound in Ketsui irritates me in videos but when playing I don't notice it.
As for the cost, I got a bare board plus art set for 85K plus fees etc. The pig came from another art set I bought on its own previously as I thought I'd end up with a bare board

They both have a fantasy setting, but I'd say the similarities pretty much end there. Gaiapolis is a hack 'n slay, kinda like Light Bringer. It's a great game if you're a Konami fanboy like me. Hard as hell though, and the bosses take a lot of time to kill. Strangely the score gives no indication how many continues were used and the game (it's quite long) has a password system. One great thing about it is that now I have something that's not a shooter to play on my tate monitor. ^^undamned wrote:Do you find even a vague similarity to Battlantis or are they worlds apart?
Could you imagine if Yagawa came out with a 4th in the series! He is due out for a new game this year.CIT wrote:Nice one! I have a feeling 08's gonna be the year in which the Mahou Daisakusen series is gonna be rediscovered and finally gain the recognition it deserves.

I'm still searching for the first Mahou.
