ESPGaluda and Dai-ou-jou.
Galuda, hmm, that last run I shoulda 1cc'ed it but didnt.... hit the 5th boss and absoultely made an ass of myself.
And Dai-ou-jou is best summed up with: "AAAARRRGGGGHHHHH" as the arcade mode goes.
Why does that one hate me so much? I have better luck with Death Label than I do the arcade mode.....

broke the Saturn out a week ago and been having a blast with my newly acquired Thunder Force Gold Pack 2. Mainly concentrating on Thunder Force AC, but Thunder Force IV really blew me away with how cool the graphics and sound are (how did I miss this back in the Genesis days?!), I look forward to playing each every day.
And thanks to D's recent Sonic Wings thread, I've been giving S.W.Special another go. Played through with my favorite Swedish robot: T.B.A-10, and was surprised how easy most of the game seemed ..up until the last level. I guess last time I played, and had to credit feed, I had yet to be exposed to Cave games. Dodonpachi et al. really upped the ante!
Now I just need a second player to do it up right.
And for shits and giggles, a little Game Tengoku never ceases to remind how Jaleco was the little underdog developer who could.

My tour of caravan games takes me to Final Soldier this week. I'm going to have to put it on hold after this week though because another forum I visit has their high score league restarting soon and I need to seclude myself deep in the mountains to train.
I'm about this close > < to getting a PC Engine this summer now rather than a supergun as I had intended.

More of freaking Mushi Ultra.
GAH.
That damn boss is still driving me crazy.
I've NO trouble getting to it. And then I get there, and SPLAT.
But I keep almost killing it, so Im nearly there.
At least I know stage 3 wont be much of a problem. Not even having practiced that stage, was able to clear it without any trouble (with rank set to "no miss").
4, however, is a nightmare. Blah.
I'll get this damn game beat yet.....

Its time for me to hide in the mountains and train for an upcoming forum high score contest (one which Sikraiken used to take part in, assuming its the same guy).
A couple of shooters have been nominated so I shall be having a go at them over the next week. They are...
Star Force (without autofire, helloooooo carpal tunnel syndrome)
Armalyte (eugh, C64)
Thunder Cross (i have never played this game before)

R-Type Final...10 minutes ago. I've been playing it all week. I'm in the process of attempting to unlock all the ships in the R-Museum. I wonder how long it'll take me.
