No- this 'new guy' is one of the jerks here screwing around. Personally- this 'joke' is old now, and the 'new' guy is much more obnoxious that the real F17 ever was. Think about it- if that guy doesn't realize he is doing something wrong- wha'ts worse. Him- or the guy that KNOWS it's wrong and still does it?

I have a vote on Shmups going bad for nuking a user for a post or two in off topic- regardless of history- the kid behaved well for so long. I think it's silly to get rid of a solid user in a community this small.

Nope, 'twas me all along. I just couldn't help it, after seeing EOJ's post. Of course destroying proper grammar isn't something I do very well, which led to Rando calling me out. I did forget to mock his love for the 'Japs', as well.

Sure F17 has some, to me at least, quite off putting opinions.
That alone shouldn't be a warrant for a ban. Especially if forum rules don't specifically ban this behaviour.

Trolling, to me, is much worse then one guy voicing his unpopular but probably serious believes...

Let me just put it like this:

trolls are even worse to the quality of the forum then f17 could ever be.

Well that's what we have here. The longer he stayed, the more threads would eventually end up turning into a religious judgement of anyone who disagreed with his ideals. How does that help the forum? It doesn't. He's been banned from other forums before for exactly this type of behaviour, but still hasn't learned. He probably doesn't even realise he's doing something wrong. That's why it'll just keep on happening.

Well fuck that, frankly - he can take it elsewhere. We've also got people mindlessly spamming topics, and we're tired of seeing that too. Whoever wants the next invitation to leave - that's purely up to you guys.

Well, name call if it makes you feel better. I know that I'm immature at times- but I'm also at least mature enough to know that 2 wrongs don't make a right. Point is- if it's bad that he does it- do you really need to make a whole bunch of posts doing the same thing? I know you think it's funny and all- but in some forums- making alternate accounts and such to troll is a ban-worthy offence.

well, re-reading my original post- that does sound funny- so let me clarify. This is an off-topic post about "Shmups" going bad. Obviously if it was already 'bad', I wouldn't be here- but the direction it looked like wasn't good. The kid is obnoxious- and I beleive everybody here knew that. The way those finals posts look, though- it's almost as if he got banned for the direction we thought he was going to head. That doesn't look good- especially to those who might not know him the way the less noobish of us do.

It had been at least a couple of weeks since the last time he acted up- that's all I was saying. I think that's pretty good for who he was:P As for solid user- he was here alot- posted some usefull stuffs every now and then- and performed well in the marketplace. I've seen people here that don't perform well in the marketplace at all and have shitty opinions. I'd rather have someone with a few good opinions (and of course- a bunch of crappy ones) selling good items than someone who does nothing but troll no providing anything other than troll posts. It helps to see what kind of seller you're dealing with on a forum like this- it's why I've had better transactions here than on eBay. We all pretty much know each other.

I've seen forums come and go. I personally love being at this one- the atmosphere is different than that of Neo-Geo for one. BUT- when banning starts coming around, sometimes that can be worse than leaving a user that is less than liked. A censorship of sorts, if you will. I've seen forums spread from one user- to more and more, then they dissapear. For the life of me- I don't want that to happen here

I love this forums more than any other- I just don't want it to ever crumble like so many have.

But seriously, I can't believe that people are willing to defend the little schultzstaffen. The kid spent his whole time on boards vomiting hate and displaying a basic lack of understanding of (among other things) democratic process.

I am not officially a psychologist but I know enough of mental problems to guess that he's developed a long series of pathological behaviors and the external manifestation is "Zomg I' going to heaven because I am Jew damn gays and atheists" etc. (and, I believe, he mentioned he was a closet gay on neogeo.com, given his dumbness).

One can argue as much as he likes about freedom of speech, but since when it's fine to abuse it to destroy any *single* discussion you see and make a Jihad against the infidels? That's a no-no, a non-starter, a form of unmutuality etc. etc.

Frankly, commitment to destroying other people's enjoyment of a free forum due to your delusional beliefs is not something granted by any constitution. If one is so hard-nosed not to get it, well: the talibans are hiring! (or the republicans, or whoever...). Best of luck, then.
