^True, there is still hope, but this is 90% due to fighter challenges from the NeoEmpire locals, not really from shooter cash. But yeah, the revelation that the video game weekly take has been higher than the fruits caught me by surprise

I've added a subforum at namakoHQ for contact details, in preparation for the meet later this month. If everyone has a way to contact each other during the meet, we can ensure everyone can enjoy themselves as it makes it easier to organise things and to find people.

And don't worry, the subforum is hidden to unregistered people, so bots can't spool off your details. (Although you might want to mangle email addresses on posting, just in case.)

This will probably be the last thing I do on this forum for a while, so I'll just say I'll see you guys at the end of this month.

And yes, I'll be bringing Pork down with me. ^_-

Ok, I've got a bad news here. I was planning everything with Fontaz, and everything was fine... But I've just realized that I can't make it. It's all about money, because sadly I wasn't paid (and probably will never get paid) for my last month of work back in late 2007. I won't get into details, but my part-time job was about videogames, lol, definitely not a good choice in Italy.

There is no solution for this because I can't make it on my own, and I can't and don't want to rely on someone else when it's about fun, like a shmupsmeet is. I'm damn sad because I'm missing a big thing, definitely a lot of fun. I also wanted to see again the guys I already know and get in touch with some new players from the forum but that's it.
It's really a sad day for me, I was 100% sure about this meeting, but actually you never know. A good lesson I guess.

I'ts officially now that i have to cancel the meet either.
School and education is more important to me.
It's just ridicilous that even though i already bought the flight and stuff, there is no meet for me, again.

I hope you guys take a lots of phots (drunken pics plz) and for the next big meet i am saving back money from now on already

So you already have your flight ticket. Ordinarily I would put you up at my place (like I did for Rando), but young Alex's arrival prevents me from providing that option this time around.
Surely something can be done. After all, with the flight ticket already paid for you're half way there.

yes, as i mentioned the flight has alerady been booked, but i ABSOLUTELY have no money left, neither for the hotel, nor for surviving there.
I was looking forward to it so much, too. Its a pity

It would be a real shame for anyone to pull out when they already have their flight paid for. Surely there's a way? I bet some of the London folk here could provide some useful money saving tips; for example I know there are at least a few underground stations around that have barriers that are easy to walk around without paying, that would save a few quid. Then there are the shit £10 a night scum hostels (I'm using one myself this meet, just for the experience

) and I bet there are some awesome Soup Kitchens/Wet centres/Buddhist temples that do free meals for anyone who looks needy enough.

And of course we can all help out by dishing a few credits

My friend thyseus is going to sleep on the streets for three nights. he refused to pay the hotel. its not that he hasnt got the money he actually prefers to sleep outside.
