I felt the ban wasn't right. Fighter17 has been a pain in a lot of situations, but in this particular case he didn't do anything especially harmful. If you are to wait a "last drop" to ban one, then at least wait for that drop to come.

This forum has seen is fair share of bullshit - I still think a ban to be a serious act that should be used in extreme cases, like when a person violently attacks you / offends you and such. All of which maybe he did in the past. I would have waited for a similar occasion to ban him, at least.

Technically, only the admins can do that - the rest of us can close/delete topics, but not much more than that.
To get yourself banned you need to be stupid enough to tick someone off WAY up the ladder - by the time an admin decides to ban you a mod probably would have done it a long time ago if he could have.

Dudes trying too hard to be contrary. There are lots of not serious posts around. LOTS. It doesn't have to be shit that would seem throwaway in an IRC chat.
I'm sure shoe is a nice guy, he doesn't seem to take any criticism personally (maybe 'cause he doesn't put any effort in), but I don't think of the posts as anything more than reducing content per page. Content: info, laughs, whatever value you may want from reading the forum. Posting on a forum lets you think more before letting your voice be heard, put a little more effort in please is all.
