Was that the one on YAJ, recently? What do you think of the game? More action than Air Duel? I love the look of Air Duel, but it just feels dry :?

No it wasn't, I ordered this through another means. I didn't even see that auction until it was already over (don't know how I missed it). But turns out I got this PCB faster, and for about the same price as it would have cost if I bought through SMJ on that very auction. Weird. Was it you that lost out on the first SMJ bid?

I only played Air Dual a bit on Mame, and didn't care for it much. But Fire Barrel seemed much more raiden like (but easier!) and with irem graphical detail which is why I had to get it. I'll have to give Air Dual another try now.

Air Duel is really lame. You definitely made the right decision in getting Fire Barrel. Really nice game, just a tad easy (not that that really bothers me ;) ).

Would like to play it but it's still not playable on MAME.

Air Duel is terrible. Not lame, but crap.

Haha, yeah. I figured this will get me to fix my cable or maybe even look into getting a different monitor.

Oriental Legend 2, hello PGM2 system...

Image

Full kit contents are motherboard+cart, poster, 2nd cabinet harness (it can be used 4 player), manual, instruction strip, 2x twin card readers (presumably for players to save scores and unlocked characters), 20x cards, and loads of little keyrings which I assume go with the cards perhaps. Closer picture of the keyrings, which are quite nice:

Best place to see it running is currently youtube I'm afraid. I can't even play it properly right now because it needs 4 buttons, and my 4 button cab is kind of buried behind other things. Tested on the 3 button, working fine - just can't select items. Oh, there's the official site too (http://www.igs.com.tw/product/orlegend2/).

thanks to gaijinpunch I now have a mushi kit
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Um...wow. I used to be a HUGE vector geek and this was always on my must have list. Damn fine work.

Interesting side note, Black Widow was originally developed to use a potentiometer joystick much like Food Fight so that you could fire in 360 degrees. Would have made the game a lot more fun.

Yea, but the Robotron style works well, too. It is is slower than Robotron, but very intense.

Nice to hear. I look forward to when you might discuss some strategies regarding the later stages. At least, I know another person in Toronto might put it to good use.

Was supposed to be getting a Raiden Fighters Jet, but instead a Raiden Fighters showed up. I sniped a newly listed one on Ebay for $75 BIN. Should I complain or be happy with the deal I got?

Considering the one that sold a day after yours went for $158.51, I'd think you got a heck of a deal.

I actually think it's better than Robotron, certainly more going on.
