Stick is a bit loose compared to Hori's other sticks such as the Soul Calibur one for PS2 and GC

No real complaints though, the base itself is nice and heavy. More than enough room to do an arcade-spec mod. (Got an extra one not too long ago for that exact purpose)

Admittedly though I use the Namco PS1 stick a lot more.

As was said before me, the sticks quite a bit looser than I would like. Though it doesn't matter too much for shooters, I'm also not a huge fan of the gate that its in the stick itself too.

Aside from those two things, its not too bad and if I didn't have my custom sticks, it would be one I would probably use pretty regularly.

This'll probably get moved to hardware I think. Anyways I have one, bought it from Damocles, and I don't like it for shmupping. In addition, they are very painful to mod. If you are looking for the stick that will never make you want to play on pad again, I don't think this is it. It's great for Tekken though!

Yeah, that's probably a better place for it. Moved.

I personally thought the joystick was a piece of junk.
The buttons are clanky and not really springy. And the first one I purchased would not recognize the lower-right diagonal most of the time.
If I was holding down and then rolled to the diagonal position it would never register. If I just jammed it directly to the diagonal it would register some of the time. This was right out of the box, so I returned it, but Gamestop wouldn't refund my money since they said it was opened (even though they had opened it before I ever touched it) so I sold the exchanged package on eBay and broke even.

Bought that stick pre-modded from Paik4Life; came with a Korean Fanta stick but changed it to a modded/ custom Japanese Hori FightingStick SS, with tuned levered microswiches. It also came with the art and pre-modded 28mm Crown screw-ins (also Korean)... Probably my favourite stick but might swap it out at a later date for another stick that uses smaller V4 sized microswitches (instead of V3)...
