Scrolling image=sync problem?

Post by Geezer »

I'm trying to work out if I have a faulty board or not. I've tested the board on 2 TVs and I get a shaking/scrolling image on both:

-On one of the TVs the image stabilises for a few seconds then scrolls for a few seconds. This cycle repeats over and over.
-On the other TV the image scrolls continuously without ever stabilising.

Does this sound like the TVs have problems with the sync, or a faulty board?
The difference in behaviour on the two TVs gives me hope that it's not the board.

Yeah it sounds like they're just failing to sync. Are you able to access a menu on your TV to adjust it, or is there a control?

There's no way for me to adjust the sync unfortunately :(
I'll try and test it on a friend's TV.

Do you have any more games on the same hardware type? (any other recent Cave game) They'd probably do the same thing.

The SH3 stuff I have works fine, the game in question is a PGM board (Espgaluda).

It's a shame I had to get rid of my old TV as I know that worked with PGM stuff definitely.
