Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu [Cave 2008]
It's official. Cave's new game is a sequel to Dodonpachi Daioujou. Check out Cave's webpage, they announce it will be shown at the AOU show on 2/15. More info on AMI's AOU show page:

I wonder what direction it's going to take, Mushi-ish or Feveron-ish, aside from most likely being even easier to chain and having even more digits on the score.
As for standalone titles vs. series, I think it's better to make sequels to established series in turn with original games, rather than serializing original titles.
Also, is it confirmed that the new DDP will be made on the good ole' 3rd gen hardware?

The new one will just dispense with control inputs and annihilate the player ship in 0.25 seconds, to maximise revenue.

Seeing as how we don't have port evers for Galuda 2, Mushi Futari, and no word on anything newer, I highly doubt it.
As much as I love DDP and DOJ, I think a sequel to Guwange would have been potentiallly amazing, and would probably excite me more than this does (which already excites me enough... Feel these nipples!)

Well, seems likely since there's a loli.
Trek trough the Galaxy on silver wings and play football online.
