I'm thinking of a shmup...

Hey, ya'll. I'm trying to remember the title to this shmup that I played back in like around the mid 90's... I think for the NES but I really can't remember, might've been the Genesis. It was a hori, and your ship was a triangular "head" piece and as you progressed you could collect more pieces of your maybe robotic body. That's all I can really remember. Anyone??

Hmm no.. I think i remember the backgrounds and everything being darkish in color. I may be totally wrong about which console it was on, but it was definitely a console game.

arg, its bugging me.

Side Arms? I don't think that had a genesis or NES release though. Target Earth maybe?

Is your ship a triangle? Or are you a robot with triangular head? Do you become a robot from the triangle or vice-versa?

The NES MagMax looks a little darker than the arcade and fits the discription.

Lol... yeah actually sonic R was right

. I didn't recognize the first stage, but I definitely recognize the second. Also, I didn't remember that head piece being there, only the legs. Thanks guys.
